Using voice input and microphone features

How to use the speech-to-text feature

1. Click the Talk to me button

2. Allow microphone access

   • Your browser will prompt you to grant Chief permission to access your microphone. Ensure you allow this access to proceed.

3. Start Speaking

   • Once the mic icon begins flashing red, you’re ready to speak. Anything you say will be converted to text and displayed in the input bar.

Tips and best practices

• Use a quiet environment for better transcription accuracy

• Pause briefly between thoughts to improve recognition

• If the mic isn’t responding, check browser permissions in your settings
